Week 25 - Pregnancy Update

Week 25 has been much like previous weeks.  I've felt great this whole week and energetic!  No complaints!  So, you know you're pregnant when:

  • You have to ROLL out of bed
  • Your winter coats no longer button up
  • Older men start commenting on how great you look (ha!) - younger dudes look at you like you're an alien but not the older ones, they get it....they are wise :)
  • You drop things constantly.  It's like my hands cannot hold on to anything!
  • I don't remember what I was going to say....oh yeah, you start 'forgetting' things like 'why did I come to Target?'....wait, that always happens to me in Target...
  • Getting dressed is frustrating because of your limited selection - yoga pants again anyone?
  • Shopping for yourself is no longer fun....it's more exciting to wonder around the baby aisle than the skinny jeans section...
  • Your husband rubs your back every night and doesn't complain once
My pregnancy has been such an amazing experience.  There are so many women and couples in this world who will never experience the joys and hardships of pregnancy.  I hate to even think about that....Drew and I have been blessed so much throughout life and God keeps blessing us.  I think about it ALL the time and even if my pants won't button, my face is rounder than a cartoon character, the scale keeps creeping up - it's all good.  This experience is a blessing and one to be forever grateful for.  And that's just the pregnancy.  I cannot even imagine what our life is going to be like once our son arrives!  God is so good.

Alright, alright - calm down stalkers...here's a couple pics of the baby belly but they are fuzzy - sorry 'bout that!

Casa Update!!!

This blog also captures our first-time homeownership mishaps...I mean experiences.  What have we been up too?  Well, my husband and I have been raking leaves.  Whoopie.  Fun.

Umm...YES....I did help.  I am the photographer so I am always 'behind the scenes' - sheesh, you people! Look at my hubby...it's funny b/c he'll say 'Are you putting that on the blog?'....no Drew.  I'm going to frame a picture of you raking leaves and place it on the mantel.  Duh! :)

We've also worked REALLY hard to get grass in the backyard.  Okay.  Honestly - I have done nothing to help with this.  It's all Drew.  I thought it was impossible.  But not Drew.  He managed to make it happen!  Check this out!
See the GRASS!  We have it blocked off so Symba can't run all over it and tear it up chasing his ball!  Next year Drew will focus on the other half!  And because fall is so beautiful here in NC, check out this picture of our home!  Notice the beautiful leaves...that we will be raking yet again this weekend...one more raking session and I will be singing a different tune about these 'beautiful leaves'....
And last, our babies. :)
Enjoy Thanksgiving everyone!  We'll be spending it with my family and Drew's!  Nothing better than that...okay there is one thing....my Grandma's mashed potatoes.  They are better than family.  Seriously - best thing ever. :)

Much love!
