(Is it just me or do they look like zombies with those eyes?) They're really happy....I swear. Life isn't that bad around here. Yeah, we don't use name brand detergent or have ice cream in the freezer but there are worse things guys. Sheesh - see what I have to put up with...
So one thing we've been up to: Growing Grass
That's not a joke. Drew has been spending countless hours in the yard with a 'tiller' (is that a real word?)....which he used to grind up the yard then plant seeds....which turned into this:
Drew's so awesome! I wish I had a picture of him 'tilling' up the yard....but I was out of town for work and good thing because I would've freaked out and probably called my Dad asking if he can come up and fix the 'future' mess. :) haha! But - as always - Drew came through! Before there was NOTHING but dirt where all that green grass is now. Our baby boy will appreciate this when he gets here...crawling on grass must beat out crawling on dirt. I'm not sure since it's been years since I crawled around. Anyways, I just never realized until we purchased this house how handy Drew is. He's a total keeper. :)
And we recently had a 'chili cook off'. Drew's is the pot at the top of the picture and mine is below. It was a little difficult having a cook off when he eats meat and I don't. So when he declared victory, I wasn't too pleased. I mean how one claim victory when he's bias? We wanted to ask Symba and Nala to be the judges...but didn't want to deal with the aftermath (i.e. gas)....so whatever. There are no winners and losers in this home. Only mediocre around here.
Finally - the baby belly. 23 weeks....and counting! I am feeling good! He is kicking more and more and I am loving each and every move. This is the most incredible experience ever. Period.
Till next time,
The Vetter's <3
