Week 33...looks are deceiving...

Welcome to week 33!  I feel like I'm at miles 17-19 of a marathon.  I've passed the 1/2 way marker; however I've still got a little ways to go...but there's no turning back.  I imagine weeks 36-40 will feel like miles 20-26...where I'm not sure if I'll make it or not and just hoping my body and mental strength carries me through.  I miss long runs...can you tell?

Looks are deceiving b/c in the top picture I don't look as big as the one below it.

Either way, my growing belly is just reassurance that our baby boy is growing.  I cannot believe he'll be here in about 7 weeks!    We're beginning to feel more prepared as the due date crawls closer...probably because of our wonderful family/friends.  This past weekend I had my first shower in Charlotte.  Drew's Mom's friends (Lynn, Kathy, and Jane) threw me the most beautiful shower.  It was PERFECT.  From the decor, to the beautiful home that Lynn opened up to my family/friends, to the delicious food (strawberry cake so devine!) and mimosas!  I had a non-alcoholic mimosa...which was perfect b/c orange juice is a favorite of mine this pregnancy!

Anyways, I don't have pictures YET from the shower but below are some of the gifts we received.  We now have an awesome baby bag and video monitor (thanks to my SIL's!), diapers, clothes, toys, bumbo seat, mobile, bopppy, bottles, wipes, shower curtain, baby care items...the list goes on!  And each lady wrote out 'advice cards' which I've already read through.  I love them - they are priceless and I can already picture myself going back through them at 3 am in the morning looking for advice on what to do when our little baby won't stop crying....but let's hope not. ha! Here are a few pictures for now - I'll add more once I have them.

And a special thank you to my bestie Katie for getting me a prenatal massage. :) I cannot wait to use that one ASAP!  She knows me so well - sometimes I need a little somethin' for me too! heehee!
