Weeks 28 & 29...and feelin' it

Here I am wrapping up my final weeks in the 20's.  And these couple weeks have been FUN!  I took a trip to NYC to visit Drew while he's been there for work.  We had a fabulous time and referred to it as 'our babymoon'. :)  Here's a picture from that trip:

haha!  Well, believe it or not...this is a picture from our NYC visit.  We went shopping at this great market (Chelsea Market I believe) and one of the stores had cows you could pet.  Seriously.  I texted my Dad immediately as I knew he would get a kick out of that!  So this picture is from our cow petting adventures in the city.

The rest of our NYC adventures consisted of simply exploring the city.  We went all over Midtown, Chelsea, Upper East Side, West Side, SOHO, NOHO, etc, etc.  I also got to visit with one of my best friends from my childhood!  She was my 1st best friend and now she lives in the city and just catching up with her was fabulous.  She took us to a great little Vegan place called Blossom in Chelsea.  Drew didn't complain about it either - he jumped right in and ordered something that looked like fake pork chops!  The remainder of the trip was great...and as much as I enjoyed it, it was really nice to come home to Raleigh and the dogs.  I just CANNOT wait till Drew gets back Friday!  I miss my husband (again)!

Back to the pregnancy.  I'm currently trucking along through week 29 and I have to admit...I'm feeling a little tired lately.  It may be from the traveling and working and taking care of the dogs alone....who knows but I'm definitely dragging.  BUT I'm sure it'll pass!  One new change....I'm starting to notice that it's much harder to bend over to put on socks, tie my shoe laces, and do anything that requires me to bend!  The belly is really getting MUCH larger now.  Check this out:

BEST part of weeks 28 & 29 - the kicks!  They are getting MUCH stronger!  Sunday night Drew and I were hanging out on the couch in his NYC pad and Baby V starting kicking me HARD (for a 2-3 pound baby...so not really hard) and Drew could feel it and SEE it!  He would run his finger along my belly and the little one would kick him.  Father and son bonding already.  It was so special.  These are the moments that I cherish right now.

Enough for now...I need to get online and do some shopping!  I've only purchased ONE gift for Christmas so far! YIKES!

 Until next time,

The Vetter's :)
