Halloween 2016

Here at the Vetter house we don't go all out at Halloween. Drew's too practical - why spend money on an overpriced costume to wear door to door asking for candy that we're not going to let the kids eat much of? He's not a fan but he'll play along for me and the kids. I don't love Halloween but my kids do! Also, I tend to wait until the very last second to prepare...which means calling Drew after work to grab candy and running around the house throwing parts of dress-up clothes together. Thankfully, we have a lot of dress-up clothes around the house so it's not too difficult. But it's a little mix and match. Ellie was Princess Hot Mess (haha!) and Levi was Spider Man without the mask. He's practical like his Dad. It just gets in the way when eating candy and makes it harder to breathe when running house to house. So he ditched it. I lied. We couldn't find it. Doesn't matter though - he wouldn't have wore it. :) We enjoyed hopping from house to house in our awesome 'hood with some good friends. The beginning was a little stressful as Levi ran off with his friend and I couldn't find them in a swarm of kids...but it turned out fine. More candy than we could eat in a year was collected and Drew took 80% of it to work.

Levi did have clinic yesterday (btw, cancer doesn't care about holidays) and he had to get an LP (spinal chemo) so he spent the afternoon recovering at his Nana's. He was up for trick or treating but it hit him today. I had to pick him up from daycare early because his little body was exhausted from the chemo. It can make his legs hurt/sore....so he did a lot of laying around today. Hopefully tomorrow he'll perk up some. He's a trooper. I'll provide an update soon - for now, the Halloween pics....
