While Levi and I were on our daily stroll today, we were listening to Jack Johnson and there was a lyric from one of his songs that went something like 'I gave you life, but you gave me mine'...and that made me stop and kiss Levi then and there. That's kind of how it feels since he was born. Our lives have changed but it's like we have a new lives that are far more fulfilled. :)
So here's a quick recap of what we've learned during month one of Levi's life:
- Sleep is priceless. Seriously.
- Huggies diapers leak - do not buy.
- Having dogs apparently does not prepare you for parenthood.
- Breastfeeding is hard. It's non-stop around the clock work. (Refer back to first bullet)
- Showering and washing/combing hair is now a luxury.
- I need my own Mom now more than ever.
- Morning news is on at 5 am (I had no clue) and lots of other channels have 'paid programming'.
Couple other things:
- Levi is precious - even at 3 am.
- Drew is precious - even with poop on his clothes.
