We had a wonderful Christmas! Though it was a unique one. The weather was very warm (70s) and rainy. Lots of rain. And we had a mild stomach bug come through the house which put a damper on family festivities. Still, we had a nice time - the most important thing is what we were together as a family and able to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. A quick rundown of our holiday...
- Drove around and looked at Christmas lights several nights
- Took a couple late night stroller walks to see lights around our neighborhood
- Went for a Christmas Eve 8 mile run together as a family - maybe the first ever! Drew pushed the kids in the double stroller and I ran as quick as I could to keep up (ha!)
- Ellie threw up on the way to my parents on Christmas Eve and threw up several times while we were there
- Kids loved their gifts from Santa (high five Daddy!)
- We ate cinnamon bread for breakfast and Mommy & Daddy had mimosas on Christmas morning
- Went on a long stroller ride Christmas Day with the kids
- Drew and Levi went to his parents Christmas Day (evening) and Ellie and I went for another walk to prevent spreading her stomach bug
- Drew started to feel a little under the weather as did I (but nothing too crazy)
- Spent Sunday trying to recoup - walked the mall and let the kids run wild (before it opened), watched the Panthers, went for another walk in 70 degrees and more rain
So much to be thankful for! Levi got a lot of Panther gear so he's been playing football every day - all day! Ellie got a lot of pink house stuff (kitchenette, crib, high chair) so she's been busy playing Mama! Here are a few pics of our holiday!
Happy holidays to all - next up, a New Year!!
Peter Pan (Levi's favorite character currently!) - thanks for the outfit Aunt Jill!
Trust me, she does not clean up - only messes up! Nice belly Belle!
Opening presents!
Before our family run together
With my sister (in law) Jill in our matching coats that we cannot wear because it's in the 70s (haha!)
Christmas chaos at my parents - the kiddos having a total blast and Maw Maw there in the mix!
A tree filled with gifts, a family filled with love = happy hearts!
This princess did not like her princess outfit!
Jammin' out with the new gifts
Playing house with her new kitchenette
Out walking Christmas Day
And our little Panther player who wears his new helmet from Nana everywhere he goes!
