Saturday afternoon we hung by the pool.... but Ellie preferred hanging out on dry land. Saturday evening, Drew and I had a sitter stay with the kids -- first time the sitter wasn't one of our parents. I was very nervous about leaving them, but it all worked out! Ellie was asleep before we left and Levi immediately liked the sitter...so I am thinking we need to head out on date nights more often! Drew and I went to Rock Salt - an oyster bar/restaurant at Park Rd Shopping Center. It was good - they have a great outdoor patio so it was nice to sit outside and just talk without interruption or distraction.
Sunday we ventured out to a new park -- Park Road Park -- the kids loved it and so did we! It has plenty of options for kids of all ages... we'll definitely visit that one again. Then back to the pool for the afternoon.
Sometimes these 'no plans' weekends are simply the best.
