Vacation for Two...

So we took a trip back in March to the beautiful USVI. We stayed on St. Thomas and visited St. John daily. And it was an adult only trip. It was exactly what we needed at the time - work was insanely busy, our kids were sick, and we were going 100 mph and no slowing down to enjoy life...so it was a perfectly timed get-away. This picture was from the we arrived.....look how happy we are!

How GORGEOUS is this part of our beautiful world?! THAT water! THAT sand! It was breathtaking.

The view from our room every morning. We did a VRBO and it worked out perfectly. 

We had coffee down by the water every morning. Drew and I love our morning coffee routine. It's a time to connect before our day begins - we do that at home and away when we can.

So I wasn't going to post this picture because I am still NOT where I want to be since having Ellie. That being said, it's a great picture (hello water!!!!) and well, I need to cut myself some slack. I've worked hard to get back into bikini body shape - it's a work in progress....it's never going to be perfect. But that body carried two healthy babies so I need to be more respectful of myself.  

Speaking of views...I am loving this one. ;) Seriously, mountains, ocean, husband...I love it all! 

Quiet time. It was a teeny little beach off of our resort where we laid around and I read a book and Drew played with the camera/pictures. Sometimes it's nice enjoying silence. That being said, I wouldn't replace the tantrums, screams, laughter, squeals, etc. in our home for nothin'.

 We snorkeled. Of course. Who wouldn't in that water - you can see everything. Drew and I managed to see a few sea turtles...then I swam back and Drew continued...where he saw a SHARK. Good thing I wasn't around when that happened!

Hello yachts. Yes, please. Someday. No? 

Happily married going on 7 years! 

And I leave you with this beautiful sunset from St. John. You were exactly what we needed little vacation.

And thanks to Drew's Mom and Dad for watching the kiddos while we were gone! We MISSED our loves like CRAZY.
