17 months...and growing! It's amazing how quickly time has passed...so I thought I would jot down a few of my favorite daily moments with you...
- First thing in the morning. When I walk into your room....you are usually laying in bed quietly playing with your pacis and when I open the door you smile at me (yes, through the paci). My heart just melts.
- Daycare dropoff. Don't misunderstand me - I DON'T want to be away from you for a second but I love to watch you express your independence are as you grab your seat at the table to sit with friends for breakfast. You are growing up so fast....gone are the days of carrying you into daycare in a car seat and placing you in a swing.
- After work. I love how your face lights up when you see me and DaDa. Your sweet expressions will live in my heart forever. They make me melt.
- Bath time. I always give you a bath at night....you LOVE to splash water all over the place. Everywhere. Then laugh! I ask you to show my parts of the body like head, nose, eyes and you point. You are so smart and learning something new every day.
- Tucking you in bed at night. Together we pray. Right now I say most of the prayers but I know you're listening and it's part of our special time together. I hope we do this for many years down the road...it's good for our souls.
These are just a few of my favorite, daily moments with you. There will be many more to come!
