Five years ago on June 14, Drew and I were married at the Bellamy Mansion in Wilmington, NC. It was the best day of my life - still is. Always will be. There's no other time in your life when you have all your family and closest friends in one location to celebrate the love that you feel for another person. It's a blessing to fall in love with someone who makes your heart skip a beat just by doing nothing. It's a completely different blessing to have all your favorite people come together to watch you commit to one another.
So! 5 years later we decided to take a trip (sans Levi -- I know!) to Charleston, SC to have a few days alone to reminisce and once again celebrate our love. I think it's very important to take the time away from everything and dedicate your attention and thoughts to your significant other. I'll admit - I've missed our quiet dinners out since we've become parents so it was a fabulous few days. Not to mention Charleston has some of the best restaurants in the South!
We stayed at Folly Beach one night at this awesome place called Water's Edge. The staff was awesome - friendly, helpful and just nice! And they surprised us with champagne!

We ate at Taco Boy, Lost Dog Cafe, and Surf Bar. All were great but I really enjoyedTaco Boy personally! Of course, we did a lot of chilling on the beach - I think our only regret was that HOT run we did in 200% humidity. That. Was. Not. Fun.

| Ahh...sun... (with SPF of course) :) |
And then we made our way to Charleston where we stayed at Charleston Place. This place was awesome with it's rooftop pool, cozy room, and location. We were in seconds of everything! Close to the market, Battery, shopping, great restaurants, etc. We love to walk whenever we can so this was ideal!
We did some sight-seeing...

| Drew's picture of the market... ;) ha! Of course, he had to take this pic! |
 |
| Calhoun Mansion - just a mere 24,000 sq ft |
 |
| Tree climbing in Battery Park - what? You don't do that? |
And then we ate and drank some deliciousness! A couple fav's included Poogan's Porch (we had the balcony to ourselves almost the entire dinner!) and Fulton Five (thanks Alissa for the recommendation!)...both delicious and romantic. There were others such as Bin 152, Coast, etc but I didn't get pics everywhere...we would look like tourists! ;)

| Fulton Five - Last dinner in Charleston (bad pic but wanted to show the restaurant - we were the last table as you can tell) |
And to wrap it up, we did a sunset sailboat cruise...so relaxing and beautiful views. I love sailboats...they look beautiful in the water and they seem so relaxing...which I found to be true. Below are the wrap up pics. I'll give you an update on Levi soon...he was having the time of his life with my parents being totally spoiled! That was the only way I was able to leave him the entire trip....I know he was in excellent care and having a total blast! Oh how I missed him though!
