Merry in the Mountains

We had an amazing weekend with friends in Black Mountain, NC.  My beautiful friend Kristen and her hubs Pete hosted a 5k run....Pete owns an awesome running store in the area and this was his first time hosting a 5k...so of course we had to support our buddies!  It was AWESOME! I didn't run it b/c I was chilling w/Levi but there was so much excitement in the air!  And best part: Drew came in 3rd place for his age group!  He was SUPER fast...Levi was extremely proud of DaDa!

Black Mountain is super cute little town and we enjoyed drinks and good food at My Father's Pizza and Black Mountain Ale House.  It's a quiet, little mountain town - perfect for a R&R weekend!  Go visit - you'll love it!  Below are some pics from the weekend including pictures from Chimney Rock.

What a great weekend!  We're going back every year to support Pete and his running store!  Pete has raised an LOTS of $$ for breast cancer research and is an inspiration to me. He runs his 50th marathon next year.....and I hope we're there to celebrate with him.....if the world had more people like Pete in it, we'd all be okay.
