Levi - 6 Weeks Young

Hi everyone!  This blog is not only for family/friends so you know what's happening in our lives here in NC, but it's also a way for me to capture thoughts that I hope to someday share with Levi.  I hear Mommy brain doesn't always come back so I better get these fabulous memories down before I forget!  

Dear Levi,

You're 6 weeks old!  WOW!  Where did the time go!?  Some of my favorite memories with you these past few weeks include:

• Stroller rides (during the day with Mom, again after Dad gets home from work)
• Daily cuddle time (I love holding you...I know this time is precious and won't last forever so I am trying to cherish each and every time I have you in my arms)
• Your smile and when you laugh in your sleep
• Bath time (love the way you stare at me while we're washing up!)
• BabyBjorn time (you cuddle up close and fall asleep and I just hold you tight and kiss your head)
• Nursing (it's challenging during early morning hours but I wouldn't have it any other way - the best things in life don't come easy...and I love how you look up to me with your precious eyes)
• Time with Dad (there is absolutely, hands down nothing that melts my heart and makes me thank God over and over than when I see you with your Daddy...nothing compares.  Nothing.)
• Your feet (they are so stinkin' cute...I love how you always stick them out from under the blankets)
• Bob Marley music (you loovveee his music...it calms you....so Dad and I play it when you're fussy and during stroller rides)
• Story time (we're just starting this but you seem to enjoy it when we glide in your nursery while I read books to you)

Those are just a few of our special moments from the past 6 weeks.  There's so many more memories we'll be making soon!  Here's some of what's to come:

• Trip to Grandma and Grandpa Vetter's for Easter (you'll finally meet your Aunt's!)
• Trip to Grandma and Grandpa Hinson's at the lake
• Trips to Kure Beach (our home away from home that I hope you love as much as me!)

We love you so much Levi and your Daddy and I have so many things we want to teach and show you!  These past 6 weeks are just a warm-up. There's so much more to come!
